Films: Beaks-The Movie (1987)
Alias: Various, notably eagles, hawks, doves, pigeons, chickens
Type: Natural
Location: Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of their respective breeds.
Affiliation: Neutral
Summary: The "killer animal" genre sort of lost steam after the late 70s. But that didn't stop some folks from Mexico from trying to bank on it. And what better thing to copy than the most recognizable one this side of "Jaws"? Let the feathers fly, we guess.
History: Thirty years ago, a Spanish town became almost bereft of human life. What the people didn't know was that it had been cleared out by an army of varied, angry birds. They had grown sick of man's abuse of nature, and any person they saw would be swiftly dealt with. Any person at all.
Notable Kills: One eagle manages to peck at a man on a hang glider enough to cause him to smash into the rocks below. Also, death by pigeon attack.
Final Fate: After terrorizing some humans for some time, the birds just...stop. A reporter guesses that no matter what the birds did, they could never outdo mankind as the greater killers.
Powers/Abilities: None
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 4-Low budget or not, a homicidal flock of birds of all shapes and size is not to be trifled with. You haven't known fear until you've seen a flock of doves eat a man alive, or an army of pigeons crash a kid's party.
Trivia: -As if this film didn't wear it on its sleeve enough, Italy marketed this as a true sequel to "The Birds".
-Most of the birds that humanity has any right to fear are the flightless type (like the cassowary) and the owls for their aggressiveness.
